Lots of Happy Card Kit! - UPDATE

The Lots of Happy Card Kit has to be my "must have" from the new 2018 Stampin Up Occasions Catalog!  When I saw this kit, I really wanted to use the new Stampin Blends with it, but alas the paper used is regular cardstock and I don't think it will hold up to the blending of the alcohol markers.  However, I have started coloring my pieces and I am using the Watercolor Pencils along with the 4 that come in the kit and I am loving it - it is a bit slow though....

I really love the neutral colors of the base pieces in this kit as it will be easy to use any color scheme for these images - not just the scheme that Stampin Up suggests - which is totally me.  Also, they have a refill kit that is available as well.  It does not include the stamps, block, ink spot, or the 4 watercolor pencils.but is still a really good price.

These are the stamps that come in the kit.  Thinking I would use the Stampin Blends , I did not stamp my images with the Basic Black ink spot that came in the kit, but I used a Memento Ink Pad instead. These stamps are going to be so useful on other cards after I finish this kit!!!  They are a really good size and would be a good starter set for someone just starting to stamp; plus I discovered they are compatible with the new Tailored Tag Punch

This kit really is all inclusive.  You will need scissors and maybe some extra adhesive, but that is it - unless you are going to tear apart your kit as I have done...  As is, the kit makes 20 cards.  However, some of those cards are not sized big enough to mail - so I am making my kit, with a few other items from my stash, into ALL cards that are big enough to mail!!!  I am hoping to have that post for you next Friday so stay tuned.

Here is a great video featuring this card kit from Stampin' Up!!!

Happy Stamping!!
